Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda, The Upside of Unrequited & Leah On the Offbeat by Becky Albertalli | Book Review

My oldest daughter and I just love Becky Albertalli’s writing. Her latest release, Leah on the Offbeat, is a companion novel to her first book (Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda), and I was so excited to re-visit old characters as well as get to know a bit more about Leah. I love when authors write stories that investigate side characters and their paths as well as keep us updated with the characters we originally met. I adored Simon and was so glad that we got glimpses of him.

The year is senior year for most of our favorites, and we couldn’t get a better setting. There’s natural tension in trying to decide which college you will attend as well as all the rituals of senior year like prom.

My video is spoiler-free for the series, so I hope you enjoy it. Please, leave me your thoughts on Becky’s books in the comments below.
